goodhsieh is a Chicago-based maker working with interactive sound installations. The practice begins with the premise that materials are never neutral—that their histories and arrangement shape meaning, perception, and subjectivity. Through custom circuitry and reconfigured mechanical systems, the work subverts everyday technologies embedded in daily life to reveal how they mediate behavior and experience. The responsive installations create interactivity that generates narratives shaped jointly by the work’s internal logic and the viewer’s presence.
goodhsieh has exhibited at the University of Illinois Chicago (2025), the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (2020–2025), and the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris (2022).
